It is another beautiful day of this great June week. Sure we all slept well and are definitely up and doing at this time already, right?
I am prompted to write this from the ‘greeting statement’ above…
What have you been up to? What’s the newness you’ve added to yourself in the course of this week and what do you see it leading you to achieve?
Some people think its just ’bout the working-working-earning thing… Let me say… Oh No, sorry pal, its way more than that.
Too many times we get all wrapped up in what life decides to offer us. We get so engrossed in what we are getting or that which we want to get out of it that we forget to focus on the mark ahead. We drift and assume the possession at the moment is the ultimate prize.
I’d tell you just how much more there is to your existence.
How that what you do or find yourself doing… how the phase of life you are currently living in has more depth in you than you lest thought possible. The grip it holds on you. The spot it now fills inside of you, how it eats up on your whole being. How what you cling so tightly to now can determine where exactly your whole purposed-life is headed to. This whole thing you’d die for, this whole vanity you wholeheartedly lust after, this satisfying unsatisfiable materiality we all are after…
Dearie, it all would come to ruins one day, some day and way sooner than expected.
This is not to say that you shouldn’t live a comfortable life or strive for wealth. But know when to set a barrier between what you idolize and what should be given priority.
Personally, one of my prayer points is “God, this money-thing we call vanity, let me have so much of it but all to the glory of Your name, that I may use to touch lives and for my life to show Who I serve because You are One without lack”.
How do you direct your thoughts? What is the motive for what you want/have? Ultimately, will you remember when it thus comes through? … All of these are talks for some other day.
So we are not saying a believer has to be poor or should live in poverty because material things are vain and vanity… No! What I mean here is, don’t become so overwhelmed with wanting it that you forget Who gave it all to you when you finally get it.
Never base your happiness on material substances, they perish beyond imagination but that is after taking up places of more tangible and precious moments, people, affairs, etc and in the end, still leave voids that hurt.
Live each moment as though there isn’t a next, live the very next after it as though there ain’t no certainty of you seeing the next because there really isn’t except the good Lord and life gives you that privilege.
Only eternity, the spot in the after-life-on-earth-and-in-Christ is guaranteed, and so of-course, you get to live that eternity as it is all your life would be getting.
Be productive, Be profitable, Be reasonable. Share, Love, Live and Most definitely, PLAY (the good play tho…#winks). It is just this one life you’ve got… Wise up and “Work” it well!

June 4, 2020 at 3:45 pmMoney is very good o.. It’s good to think about it too. Think about how to get it legitimately and you will find your mind opening to several possibilities that will create value to others and put cash it your pocket . It empowers and makes one able to do so much good but the sorry is the case for the man who makes money his master. He is worse than a fool. Smiles… Money, money , money.. it’s better to possess it than to be possessed by it.
